Elricest: What's Gone Is Forever Lost...

...Now All We Can Do Is Live

What's Gone is Forever Lost . . .

So you've managed to escape . . .

January 10th, 2009

Hello all! I come bearing a little drabble for your reading enjoyment. Be gentle, as it's my first post on the comm... Hope you like it!

Title: Back to Normal?
Author: Kyo-chan
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Elricest [but that's why we're here, right? ^_^]
Summary: Al thought that with Ed home, things could go back to normal. Well, not quite...
Notes: This takes place after Conqueror of Shamballah, but instead of the boys ending up in Germany, Ed tumbles back into Amestris. I think that's it...
x-posted to elricest

It was part of the reason for his escape that day, Ed becoming a heavy distraction just by being himself...Collapse )

Figured I'd give a quick heads up to the members of the community that are into role playing, I'm co-managing a second commuity called modfan_u that is an all fandom inclusive college based role play. So if you would like to drop in on a Chemistry class run by Roy or talk to Alphonse at the local cafe stop in and take a peek! I'd love to see more of the fma bunch join.

I've already removed 'elricest' from the interests, and taken it out of the title, as well as used the LJArchive tool to save all existing entries.

If anyone is in fear of their own ljs, or other comms that they may be modding or are a member of, you can get LJArchive here. It's quick and easy.

This witch ain't gettin burned. Let the hunt continue, and we shall revel in the absurdity of it afterwards.

And understand that I know 'Warriors For Innocence' have something of good intent in mind, but let history also show how that has played out in the past. These are most likely the same type of people to group homosexuals in with pedophiles, simply because they don't understand. Fear often exists in place of knowledge, so I'm urging that there be no conflict initiated from our side with any of those that tend to stray our way. We'll simply weather the gale.

For a rundown on the suspensions so far, see This entry.
Mods, please feel free to delete this if you find it out of context...

This is a pretty quiet community, so I don't know if you all have heard. The long and the short of it is that many journals and comms on LJ have been deleted or banned because of the content of incest/rape/pedophilia, etc. Granted, I believe this is one of the most harmless areas for them to target, but after seeing personal journals get deleted for fictional content, chances really shouldn't be taken. If you want to see the carnage, go here and this is how it started.

To protect the small group of us that like and respect this series and are here on this community for its potential and sharing this with each other, I'm suggesting that "elricest" be removed from the interests and from the journal title. At the very least, that will hopefully prevent it from being an immediate target. Again, I hope that this isn't out of line, I just believe that what's happening on LJ is wrong and that these people took a righteous cause down a wrong path.

We are here as fans, and we should support and protect one another as fans.

Hei being an honoray Elric, I present the notoriously small masses with filk.

It always seems I'm the most productive when I'm supposed to be doing something else. I wrote this btwn 2 work days, actually the third and fourth of my new job. Most of my songs get a verse or two and maybe a chorus on paper, and then it dies on me. Also, this was my first time trying to record ANYTHING on comp, so please, bear with me.

But! It lives!
Winter in Munich:LyricsCollapse )

And I've decided to share my baby with my fandom. Hei and Ed were swimming around in my head, being rather useless, til I took up humming and they attacked and ravaged the tune. Suprisingly, it ended up being a serious piece, and I'm very proud of it. As with everything else, I consider my livewife fictatious to be the other parent of this (even though she didn't know I was writing it, >.<) because she continues to support and encourage me, even through my roughest creative droughts. Without her I'd have given up a long time ago.
And also, cryogenia, since you're the most masterful shipper of Hei/Ed that I know, and because a line from your fic A Lifetime inspired part of the bridge, I nominate you to be the Godmother! XDDD
And lastly, I'd like to dedicate this creation to my dear Aunty B, binaryalchemist. This one's all for you, babe.

Hello, I'm Lynn. I've been lurking around here and other fan fiction places for awhile but I hadn't really made any accounts yet. But I've got some stories and ideas to share so I figured I would finally buckle down and do something with them. I can't believe I'm on here actually, if my friends find out then there goes my social life but they're not lj people so no worries.
I fell in love with FMA after I happened to catch the first episode on by chance. It was so raw and visceral, yet so beautiful and tragic. The more I watched the more I was drawn in and it is now my religion. To me all is one and one is all is the mantra of my life, no matter how bad things get that one thing is true that I am a part of something greater and something greater is a part of me.
Now, on to the Elrics. I first became aware of the Elric pairing by mere accident. Someone mislabeled a fic and I happened across it. My nature was to shy away at first but something in me made me read on and now EdxAl is my favorite pairing next to WinryxSheska (can never spell her name right).
The Elrics have a bond that really moves me. I think it's because I understand what it's like to go through hell with someone and come out on the other side. I plan to post a few things as soon as I get them typed up.
Oh, and to the mods, I love the profile description! Very inviting! : )

FMA - Elric bedroom eyes
I read that I could post a greeting if it had substance, but I'm not always good at this, so here goes!

My name is Rikka [though I write under Kyo-chan >_>] and I have been a Fullmetal Alchemist fan for quite some time now. At least since the U.S. release, if not a bit before that. I believe that I went into the series expecting to 'ship the popular Roy/Ed pairing, just because it seemed to be the most mainstream one out there. But true to my strange tendencies, as the series unfolded, I found myself loving the prospect of Ed and Al, and even the Tringhams [el honourary Elrics.. *giggles* or as my best friend would say, "Blondage"] The more of the series I saw, the more I fell in love with the literally overflowing potential of the Elric brothers, and that's why I'm here now. [And if I hadn't found a community like this, I had it in my head to make one myself, even if I was the only one in it. ^_^]

Anyway, I'm also hoping that being a part of a group that encourages it, I can also start doing more writing and possibly art. I have a work in progress that being here just may inspire me to finish. So...there's my intro, and I'm going to go hide now. *waves to all the members* I look forward to being a part of this community!
